Health Sub-Group Activities
This group meet on a monthly basis to review health issues relating to the community. This group were instrumental in the reinstatement of school nurses borough wide.

The latest success story is the introduction of the first responder scheme.

First Responder
the Welsh Ambulance Service has recently trained local residents, to become life saving first responders who will assist the ambulance service in their call out duties. Welsh Assembly Health Minister – Jane Hutt and Huw Lewis AM attended a presentation at the local community centre in recognition of their achievements.

This group are now active in the ward, however, we need extra volunteers to build up our teams so that we can eventually respond to emergency calls 24hrs a day 7 days a week.
This training is free and the Welsh Ambulance Service insurances covers all volunteers.

SO PLEASE COME ALONG AND JOIN OUR TEAM!
